Global Background Image not applied correctly #234

Is there an existing issue for this?

Bug description

When setting a global chat background image, the image will be stretched and distorted. When the same image is applied via specific chats, it is applied correctly. It is also shown correctly in the preview.

On Signal v6.37.2, it works as expected.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Go to Settings, Appearance, Chat-Color and Background
  2. Choose Background
  3. Open chat that has not been modified
  4. See background image not beeing distorted.
