installing PyQT 4.8 #214

1. What version of Python(x,y) have you installed?

2. Which components have you installed (Python(x,y) installer: component

    b. Have you selected the "Full" component selection?
3. Have you selected the option "Customize installation directories"?
b. No
5. Where did you install Python(x,y) itself?
a. default path
6. Have you installed Python(x,y):
    b. For "All users"
7. What is your operating system?
a. Windows XP
8. When you installed Python(x,y), were you logged in as :
b. an administrator of the machine

Please provide any additional information below.
I tried to install the new release of PyQT (4.8) it didn't install fully and 
then it wouldn't uninstall. Then Python wouldn't run at all. Tried uninstalling 
Python, it wouldn't give me any errors but it wouldn't install again. Please 
help. I am using a new computer now and would like to install PyQT 4.8 but I am 
afraid the same thing would happen (that is the reason I switched to a new 
computer). Thanks in advance.

ATM you cannot use a vanilla PyQT with Python(x, y).

It would help us greatly if you could test the below experimental releases and 
provide feedback.
