I only recently realized this guide existed and noticed how the current state on master is misleading or outright wrong in some cases. This guide still requires a large amount of work but I at least wanted to fix the more egregious issues like recommending obsolete decompilers with suboptimal settings.
I would honestly just remove a lot of the original references to BSP2MAP and WinBSPC, but I left them in for now as they are technically relevant if for whatever reason someone wanted to handicap themselves by using those tools. Any mention of trechbroom I think should also be removed, but for now I didn't try touching it. Due to leaving a lot of this stuff in the guide does not really flow all too well, but I think this is significantly less of an issue than leaving the guide up as is in its current state.
Most of what I wrote is based off of my initial guide I started a good year ago, but even that is partially out dated now that I've learned more about porting and learned of yet another GoldSrc decompiler. I'll leave the link here just in case someone cares to take a peak at it.

Regardless, as some point I will overhaul and flesh this out more.
