5 days ago Brought this up internally, author times we can do but I'm not a fan of medals, too much overlap with groups. Gonna see what people say then probably adjust this issue a bit and move to website repo.
Is your feature request related to a problem?
For the more casual audience of players, I believe it would be nice to have author times to race against on maps which an author has submitted their own time for. Additionally, a medal system of some sort (e.g. bronze, silver, gold, ruby [WR]), whereby you must complete a map in a set amount of time (or perhaps some other type of goal) in order to achieve a certain medal for the map. This would keep the more casual fanbase for Momentum Mod more engaged with maps when they know they can't beat the top players, while keeping everything simple. This would also potentially help inform players how well they are actually playing in a particular map. And as an added bonus, these sorts of medals could work as a sort of statistic for each player's profile, where they can show off how many types of every medal they have, and perhaps even which maps they were achieved on.
I would go into much more detail about the idea at this point, but I haven't Momentum Mod for now.
Describe the solution you'd like
I've never played Momentum Mod for myself as of yet, so I'm unable to make a conclusive solution to the idea's implementation, however I'm sure the solution for it wouldn't be too overly-complex. Otherwise, I would be able to make a report for such a request. It'll likely be to do with some web backend logic and data transfers, and some in-game representations.
Describe alternatives you've considered, if any.
An alternative to this is adding leaderboard medals, whereby you must get a certain position or better on the official leaderboards in order to obtain a medal. This could even be automated in a way based on existing leaderboard runs, which would do away with having to have players or moderators manually determine medal times (like theoretically proposed previously).
Additional context
This feature in it of itself is likely not fit for v1.0 of Momentum Mod, but rather a later inclusion to consider. However, it does depend on how high the priority is for the casual audience of players who love this type of gameplay.
