Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
Currently iKeyEx only have localizations for English, Spanish, Japanese and
Chinese, and ℏClipboard only have localizations for English, Spanish and
Chinese. More languages should be added.

>> Will we see Russian input anytime soon?

But there's a Russian keyboard built-in already!

I mean, MultiTap with russian input - currently it has only latin symbols as I
see.
And here's a little correction for my translation (sorry for not submitting in

@14:

In the German there are some "Lˆschen". Does it mean "Löschen"?

Original comment by kennytm@gmail.com on 5 Feb 2009 at 3:08

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
Yes actually it should be. I thought I added it that way :P. Notepad ++ didn't
like
it I think.

@16:

I think I know what's wrong. Notepad++ saved the file as ISO-8859-1 but Mac OS
X's
TextEdit.app interpreted that as MacRoman. After correcting the encoding it's
shown
correctly.

Troubleshooting.strings - I didn't yet, to be able to test them.
P.S. Any updates with Issue 44?

Issue 44 won't get a very high priority because it's for MultiTap. I'll
maintain the
released products and develop ⌘ (issue 10) first.

@35:

Go to http://code.google.com/p/networkpx/wiki/LocalizationGuide . Each "key" of
the
table is the string needed to be localized. You just need to translate each
string,
then email it to me or post them here.

I have the arabic keyboard which is the most used one. I'm not sure if I can
help. I
could send you a picture of the Arabic keyboard plus the arabic characters!
could
that help?

the Arabic keyboard is more complicated, because of the characters we use, I'll
try
to make it simple. anyway thanks for your wonderful work and understanding,
I'll try
to do my best, good luck to you :)

I'm not familiar with the localizations programs and the other stuff. After
downloding the greek file I looked on google and then the story goes... :P

I used a program called TextEdit v.3 and made these translations for iKeyEx,
ℏClipboard, and 5-Row QWERTY Keyboard.

Note: I couldn't find a way to encode the files to UTF-16!

see if the files are helpful or not!

thanks

@42:

That's fine. I can convert to UTF-16 myself. But I need to know the encoding
you've
used first -- are you using Windows or Mac?

@44:

OK. This is from hClipboard:

   "Copy" = "نسخ";
   ...
   "Clear Clipboard" = "تنظيف اللوحة";

Are these correctly translated? If yes I'll convert to UTF-16 using Arabic
(Windows)
encoding.

    de = {
        Scroller = Scrollbalken;
        Go = Los;
        "Page number" = "Seitenzahl";
        Close = Schließen;
