Aim 4.1 Make phenomic and disease information available via API for basic research and the clinical community

Melissa, Peter, ChrisC, and Tim are at the helm for Aim 4. Tim is responsible for the API portion. Tim, Glass, Kevin (the technical team) are the implementers for the API portion of Aim 4.

From Phenomics First RPPR for Y2, we proposed the following Integrated Platform (Aim 4) goals for next year:

• We plan to implement a new API, using the Fast API framework, and integrating a broader range of phenotypic terminologies and more phenotype associations
• We will include more Mondo information in the API endpoint
• We will include an SSSOM endpoint in the API that can return mappings for terminologies of interest
• We hope to be awarded a supplement to help fund this work for generalization beyond this program, due to community interest and engagement. To this end, we submitted a proposal, “Maturing the LinkML framework to catalyze data interoperability,” in response to NOSI NOT-OD-22-068.
