"2100 was not referenced anywhere" but "closes #2100" is here and the author is a co-author. @erciccione recommended that if a single file is being edited then it should be put into one pull request to avoid "git bloat" hence the generic "Update tools page" commit name. Edit* i've missed the important step - 'only after review'! doh
