Transfer mongoid-grid_fs to github/mongoid? #62

I had https://github.com/mongoid kindly donated to the community by the nice folks at MongoDB. The three people who have org level admin access are currently @durran, @estolfo and myself.

I want to invite this project to be moved to the org. I think it makes good sense to group mongoid projects together and have continuous support from MongoDB, the company, over the long term. All admins of this project will continue having admin access of course, but this would reduce the bus factor since currently only @ahoward can add maintainers here.

If you think it's a good idea, please transfer this project to me and I'll move it into the org and please add dblock@dblock.org, emily@mongodb.com and durran@gmail.com to rubygems.

I've mostly taken over the maintenance of this project, but @ahoward has sole admin access to the repository. I'm in favor of your proposal to move the project under @mongoid.

I believe that @ahoward unsubscribes from (or filters out) all GitHub notifications. Your best bet is to email him directly. You can reach him at <his-first-name>@dojo4.com referencing this issue.

I've e-mailed @ahoward, thx.

On it - later today.

@dblock

@rmm5t thanks so much for keeping the project going - and @dblock : happy to transfer this where it'll see the most use.

dblock commented 8 years ago

This has been done, and both @rmm5t and @ahoward have admin access on the repo. Someone should fix the links next please ;)

@rmm5t Could you please gem owner mongoid-grid_fs --add dblock@dblock.org emily@mongodb.com durran@gmail.com, too?

ahoward commented 8 years ago

i think i've done an excellent job at

going to consider that done/closed

dblock commented 8 years ago

The gem owner part is the only remaining thing though, just want to make sure someone at mongodb has access.

ahoward commented 8 years ago

it's been so long @dblock - lemme know what to do or email and it is done.

dblock commented 8 years ago

From the command line run gem owner mongoid-grid_fs --add dblock@dblock.org emily@mongodb.com durran@gmail.com. Thanks!

ahoward commented 8 years ago

are you sure about durran's email? doesn't seem to like it ;-/

That's correct, his email is hidden at Rubygems and it doesn't show his name, they have fixed this at some point in a later version and it will show just durran.
