So, I would like to give a lighter contribution. I know I can use Patreon and GitHub sponsoring. Many other projects are on Open Collective, would there be an interest in being active there, too?
Well I've thought about open collective, but I don't know how different it is from Patreon, for instance. Is it a problem to use Patreon?
Also, thanks a lot for saying this 😀
Thanks for the reply! I guess it's just another platform, not too different. On Open Collective it's clear where the money goes to (e.g. hosting, a specific feature, external contributions), which is nice to see as a sponsor. For me the biggest difference is that I can give one-off donations on Open Collective which doesn't seem to be possible on Patreon - which is why I wouldn't use it.
I'll give to another project through GitHub as well, so I'll go ahead with that for Monica, too. Thanks again!
Hello Me again. Seems that GitHub - like Patreon - doesn't allow for one-off donations :/ @djaiss @asbiin do you have paypal.me links by any chance?
@keunes, You can donate using Patreon and turn off your subscription after your first month is debit from your account. But if you have a specific value, PayPal would be the way to go.
@keunes thank you for your kindness ! Maybe we can have a look at Open Collective.
About your question, I have a paypal.me profile here
That link didn't work. I think you mean : https://www.paypal.me/AlexisSaettler
@bbrendon yes, right !
Hello,
With the end of the year coming up, I am preparing a round of contributions to different projects. I like Monica and am happy to contribute financially. However, a subscription of about € 82 per year is a bit much, especially without an app allowing me to update contacts and retrieve information on the go (hint hint).
So, I would like to give a lighter contribution. I know I can use Patreon and GitHub sponsoring. Many other projects are on Open Collective, would there be an interest in being active there, too?
