Noisy fan #9

The computer case fan is very noisy:

replace it?
remove it?
install two fans in series (halve noise and airflow)

The CPU fan is somewhat noisy:

replace it with the fancy fan scavenged from the old pond life box?

Pad the whole computer in foam (with muffled air channels), protected by a 3mm MDF box? Only after machine performance is proven adequate.
