I think the App is missing some fundamental features for normal music playback, browsing and queueing... The connecting to the server works really well! Thumbs up for that!

Here is a list of features I would like to see included:

Don't get me wrong! I really like your App and appreciate your work!! These are just some suggestions I would love to see in future versions of the app!

Thank you for your interest Jones! The project is no actively supported since I’ve no time left to work on it due to my primary work :(

The intent was to give a quick set of actions to use Volumio in a simple environment and maybe find some other people to work on it a part me. The guys from the main Volumio project are more focused on a web app instead of a native one, so I can’t preview when all your (and other ones) requests will be developed. If you or anyone else want to be part of the app, just let me know!

Here is a list of features I would like to see included:

  • real queuing (play next) on titles, folders, artists, albums etc.
  • consistent UI for extra actions (sometimes longpress on title, sometimes a swipe to left on the element) --> better: swipe to left or three dots or even force touch
  • creating smart playlists (similar to iTunes) --> with using different tags from MP3 File (e.g. Year)
  • more intuitive Queuing UI (what does the "process" Button? Why is rearranging elements under the three dots in the upper right corner?)
  • automatically jump to current song in Queue menu)
  • Possibility to recursively add Elements to Playlists (currently only possible in the web interface)
  • you generally should lean you UI more on other music app so the User experience is more natural and intuitive

Hello!

Thank you for your answer, I appreciate that! And also thanks for the offer about being a part of the app but as long as I don't have a Mac I won't be able to work on the code of the app... :( Surely there are some workarounds about using swift language on Windows but that'll lead to some problems later.

If I can do anything else about the app for you, just let me know!

Kind Regards,

Jones
