i'm looking into why this is now

trentgill commented 10 years ago

did you determine if this was the problem?

trentgill commented 10 years ago

you can check the max window and it will say the file is not found if that's the cause

SorenAndreasen commented 10 years ago

i don't think that's the problem.

when opening the max collection on my windows computer, i see the yafr2.maxpat. i can't really test it in that test though, for some reason only the routing works.( changing apps), but nothing is inside the apps. no leds at all or any reaction. dead program. dsp is on and driver selected.

trying to run this issue down, i've encountered connection issues with the standalone as well - on both windows computers.

on my pc: serialosc is working (monome_test works fine) but the standalone doesn't work now: it sees the monome, but when hitting connect - serialosc object doesn't change color. also the app buttons in the router doesn't contain any apps. i've tried reinstalling the app without luck.

on brians pc: grid didn't show up at all. i tried rebooting, but in the end installing the standalone again (thus installing serialosc) fixed it. so i suspect there is a serialosc issue on brians pc. not on mine. i could download max runtime and to confirm this, but all this is making me think a windows version will have to be postponed till the 128 comes out.

i don’t understand soren - you were saying it was working before? obviously some issues exist, but i’m not sure they’re caused by the standalone we’re delivering.

also, for now - you don’t need to build a full installer with serialosc in it -> just the max standalone app itself. we’ll do the full installer script with the new 128 release (ie. new users).

right now we’re only sending to current users who are probably aware of the issues.

anyway - just want to encourage you to package something up and we’ll take it from there!
