headphone gain setting occasional fail? #313

seen a few times, can't reproduce reliably

seems sometimes norns boots up with HP still zeroed out, meaning the i2c send failed. why?

i've been noticing this too.

if you notice this again, check if everything's good with alsamixer. until recently we had a rogue startup command that was resetting "master" to about 40% (and at low output volume sound can just become too quiet to hear at this level).

tested 100's of units and haven't seen this again.
