Hi,

Is it possible to add a BOM list to the project? It is difficult to identify the correct SMD packages of ICs and other passive components needed to build it. Thanks Rick

repetto74 commented 2 years ago

Sorry the BOM is there I did not see it :-)!

monotech commented 2 years ago

No worries :)

If you missed that, be sure not to miss the Readme.md!

This project is not suitable for use as 8501. I am working on that, and will be releasing a new version once I fix it. I cannot find any software that makes 6510 config fail compared to a real 6510, but it may still be out there! Be sure to report back if you find a reproducible compatibility issue.

Hi,

Thanks for your advice :-). I am willing to build it as a replacement for the 6510 only. I will for sure build another pcb for the 8501 once issues will be fixed ;-)

Regards, Rick

Hi again,

I have tried to source the IC required for the 8501 version of the board with no luck. I know I will not build that version at the moment but is there a valuable alternative to the 74LVC1G373? This latch is hard to find and out of stock apparently :-)

I'd suggest waiting for the new version before building - the parts may change quite a bit.

No known compatible alternatives for LVC1G373 at this time. If you wish to build for 6510 config, just don't install the LVC1G373.

Hi, Understood I do not need to populate the pcb with the latch for 6510 implementation. Thank you for this project it looks really cool and fun to do ;-)
