Collapse on card name #21

There could be a checkbox in the header that allows a user to collapse their collection on the card name. So they could have 5xCard1 Rare, 5xCard1 Common and it would simply show 10xCard1

I feel we should discuss this a bit further.

Price data is per Card Version, not per Card, so that won't be available anymore. You will only be able to see card details and total count of said card.

Having the price data disabled while things were collapsed is probably fine.

Now that I'm thinking about it, there are really two levels of collapsing possible. One is per card name, and the other is per card rarity.

Example, take Battlestorm for example. BP03-EN055 is available in both common and shatterfoil. I might want to see that I simply have 2 copies of Battlestorm regardless of rarity.

Or Dark Hole, there may be 20 different set numbers, but I might want to see how many I have of each rarity.

Where would you envision we put these controls?

I'm asking because we are already planning tabs, controls for editing tabs / columns, control to switch between grid and table view. These would most probably end up somewhere on top and I think we should put these there as well. I'm just asking to see if you have any better ideas.

I can see it getting busy up in the header quickly!

Maybe a small row while browsing your collection with a couple of checkbox options? image

I'll think about this a bit more.
