I can verify that Scratchpad does not load in the latest Canary, however the new version that fixes the memory leaks loads correctly so this issue will be resolved with the new version.

However it is worth mentioning that Canary is an unstable environment, things can stop working suddenly because the Chrome developers might be testing a new feature.

@Comment 5: That's right. When apps, esp pre-installed ones, stop working altogether though we want to try and isolate what happened and put the ReleaseBlock label on there to see that it is resolved. I'm glad your new version is working just fine! Hopefully we'll get that one soon. :)

I have the same error on Google Chrome Windows 22.0.1221.0 dev-m and on Chrome OS Dev on Chromebook.
Google's issue 138841
Reported by project member preeyavr...@chromium.org, Jul 24, 2012
Version: 22.0.1215.0 Dev OS: 2650.0.0
During UI Regression testing, I was unable to load Scratchpad application.
What steps will reproduce the problem?
What is the expected output? Expected out put is proper loading of scratchpad application
What do you see instead? Loading circle, that keeps on turning.
How frequently does this problem reproduce? Always
What is the impact to the user, and is there a workaround? If so, what is it? Users cannot launch and work in Scratchpad App.
Please provide any additional information below.
It was working as expected in R21

Josh can you follow up? (I can repro easily)

I'm on it - cc'ing some internal and external folks. I just repro'd this one easily, too.
@saintlou - Any ideas what might have changed? It was working on yesterday's Canary and there have been no changes to the app.
@eliseo.soto - Let me know if you need a Chrome OS Canary image to test this on.
The error in the console is this: Uncaught TypeError: Cannot assign to read only property 'DeferredPromise' of #
