I plan on adding exercises to this section at some point...it definitely needs a few! This might be a good time to ask types of every question we've asked so far about the gradient since, from my understanding, this is supposed to be the section that synthesizes the information we disseminated over many of the previous ones.

The comment here is kinda a joke - I wrote this problem, and a student asked me about it. when I read the problem, I realized that the words in the problem repeated themselves (more than I would have liked) so right then and there, in class, I submitted the issue and plan to make the problem cleaner in the future.
