Here the instructions says to complete the table but the table is given. The problem gives a text box. If you write anything in the text box and submit the program gives you full credit. The answer is also written before the text box. Maybe word the problem better so to make it a reasoning walk through problem rather than an actual problem.
The exact same structure of problem is used for the next problem:
Here they have to fill the table then write something in the textbox. So maybe in the previous problem the table could also have some blanks for them to practice on.
Also I don't see why in both problems it says use exact values. The answers come without decimals so this instruction I don't think is needed and make one think he/she can't use a calculator.
