I changed all F to B. F(x) is the notation we usually use for antiderivative of f(x). I think B is more appropriate for this expression.

F in the question IS an antiderivative of f.

I see. This problem is using the first fundamental theorem of calculus. Students see this theorem as the derivative of integral of f from a to x and the second theorem of calculus as integral of f from a to b. I still think this form can be misleading and most probably don't pause and think of first fundamental theorem of calculus here but I leave it to you.
