Improve performance of classification of filtered courses #105

Currently, the classification of filtered courses trigger several SQL queries:

Filtering by starred courses triggers a SQL query
Filtering by a custom field triggers a SQL query
Filtering by course status does not trigger a SQL query directly, but processes a lot of data on the fly.

It would be worthwhile to cache the classification of filtered courses and the custom field value within the filter hint string.

This plugin has finally reached end of life now and will not be upgraded to Moodle 4.x.

I would like to invite you to have a look at our Moodle 4 theme theme_boost_union which supports several aspects of this plugin's feature set and is actively maintained and extended. Thank you for your understanding.

Against this background, I will close this issue.
