Just noting that in the GitHub Actions result those remarks appear (under "Check out repository code" → "Initializing the repository") nowadays if you still stick to master:
hint: Using 'master' as the name for the initial branch. This default branch name
hint: is subject to change. To configure the initial branch name to use in all
hint: of your new repositories, which will suppress this warning, call:
hint:
hint: git config --global init.defaultBranch <name>
hint:
hint: Names commonly chosen instead of 'master' are 'main', 'trunk' and
hint: 'development'. The just-created branch can be renamed via this command:
hint:
hint: git branch -m <name>
As I understood @abias his aim was to do this for all moodle-an-hochschulen plugins nearly at the same time. Feel free to choose. This is merely a reminder but FYI now there is an official call for action and manual on https://moodledev.io/general/community/plugincontribution/master2main
