i added a new setting to the plugin to allow teachers to set a specific time period so students can only edit a pad during that time period. This can be used, for example, if you want some sort of submission deadline.
A lot of plugins have this feature, so it's pretty much standard code. Some example plugins with this feature are Forum, Quiz, BigBlueButton.
