Thanks. But before I put it in - is it ok to only translate the main file and not the 'feature' ones? There's a bunch of language strings split out to those now... (feature/*/lang)

nadavkav commented 12 years ago

I was wondering where they went ;-) I will translate that too and send you a notice when it is done :-)

Hi all,

I am working at brazilian portuguese translation but I just cant find the module string on amos. Can you check it, please?

Thanks!

sammarshallou commented 11 years ago

I think the module does not appear on amos unless we do something complicated, but I can't remember what that is... (Are you trying to translate the 2.3 version? We haven't released a 2.3 version of this module yet.)

andreyamin commented 11 years ago

Hi Sam,

As David said here:

From now on, whenever a maintainer publishes a new version of their contributed plugin, strings are automatically sent via a web service to the AMOS. This process respects the supported Moodle version setting so the strings appear at the correct Moodle branch in AMOS.

So seems that is not so complicated :-) May be there is some issue with the module record on plugin database. Is there any plan to upgrade this module to 2.3 and 2.4?

sammarshallou commented 11 years ago

Thanks! We generally don't publish our plugins to the Moodle site more than once per version (if that), i.e. we don't publish them every time there is a new version on github because it's way too much work. Maybe we need to publish ForumNG again.

I looked, and we haven't made a 2.2 version. It's now supposed to be somebody else's problem to do this (Jason Platts), the problem is that he needs to be set as maintainer of the projects in Moodle plugins. We'll try to get that sorted out and then hopefully you will abe able to update strings. It might take a few weeks - sorry for the delay.

You asked about future versions. 2.3 version (== current master, plus fixes) should be available in December. 2.4 version should be approximately June 2013.

I've published the ForumNG 2.2 version to Moodle plugins.

However, I got an AMOS error - so I'm not sure if if everything worked OK on that side of things...

nadavkav commented 11 years ago

I was also looking for that plugin on AMOS, to push Hebrew translation Looking forward to see it there :-)

Any progress with this? (Have you asked David Mudrák's help?)

jason-platts commented 11 years ago

I don't have an AMOS account, so haven't checked; but there were no errors that I recall last release so it should be available for translation.

nadavkav commented 11 years ago

I do not see it on the list of available plugins. Can you ask David Mudrák to see what is the status?

Any progress on this issue?

nadavkav commented 10 years ago

Please integrate the Hebrew translation, until the plugin makes it to AMOS.

jason-platts commented 10 years ago

Is it still not on AMOS? The version the other week was created OK with no errors.

I can integrate this though.

nadavkav commented 10 years ago

Unfortunately, It is not there yet. (Unless I am missing something in the UI)

Actually, I already have an updated Hebrew translation pending to be pushed. What do you suggest I do? (wait for you to integrate and send another pull request OR wait for it to be available on AMOS)

I can add everything all together if you have more changes. I can just take the file from a branch rather than using a single commit (as it is a new file that is easy).

I also spotted some errors in this file; some of variables referenced in the lang file have been translated e.g. $a->posts (['quotaleft_plural']).

nadavkav commented 10 years ago

Exactly. I fixed those errors and some more. I am attaching the most updated Hebrew translation file I have over here

If you update your GitHub forked branch with the translation in I can take the file from there, thanks.
