Seems like a duplicate of #56 and maybe excessive number of commits - this could have been done as one single commit ;)

Yes, thanks. I will be merging https://github.com/moodleou/moodle-mod_forumng/pull/56 to fix this issue (I don't know when, so you can use Alistair's commit till then).
