Are you talking about the backgorund image, or the draggable images?
Is your image so big that the qtype is automatically re-sizing it?
I am referring to the draggable images. These are small images (100x100)
Does GD's resize ignore the alpha channel? ( I was looking at the code and saw only RGB handling )
Sorry for the slow reply.
I expect you are right, it is do do with gd re-sizing. Surely GD can resize including alpha channel, but to make it work we may have to change our code.
If you have any time to work on this further, that would be great.
No worries Tim  I image very busy as is.
I will check this issue next tuesday (when I am back at work) and let you know if it was fixed by someone on the team and if not... whether I am picking it up.
Thanks you very much
Note, this question type is now part of the standard Moodle package. It is not relevant to report bugs here. They need to go to tracker.moodle.org.
Obviously, "It is not relevant to report bugs here" as it was reported in Nov 12, 2013  Not sure if this issue is relevant anymore. if it does, and some teacher reports to me... I will create a new issue on the tracker. Thank you for pointing that out.
Uploading images (PNG or GIF) with transparency channel is lost and transparency is displayed as black color.
