so we can choose to include the different elements:

R folder
special files (README, DESCRIPTION, NAMESPACE, LICENSE...)
inst
tests
man (FALSE by default, but useful if we don't use roxygen2)
vignettes
.Rprofile and .Renviron (not part of repo but useful)
