Also, the battery will no longer hold a charge for any length of time. I can still use it as a USB device. Any ideas?

limpkin commented 8 months ago

Hello! Could you:

zmcfate commented 8 months ago

Okay, I will try these things today, thanks.

zmcfate commented 8 months ago

Problem: as soon as I unplug the device from USB, it shuts down: the battery can't hold a charge. Can I reboot it if it's plugged into a power-only, non-data USB connection?

zmcfate commented 8 months ago

Sigh. I downloaded the update file update_2732_from_bundle_12_to_13_e0bc372e099bffbc25a82492f6ef4066.img, I'm told it cannot be opened, the image is corrupted. Sigh.

Tried downloading it again after restarting my browser, same deal.

zmcfate commented 8 months ago

Also, I'm not sure which file represents the latest beta of Moolticute at the URL provided. There's no .dmg or .img file, and I don't see anything that looks like a Mac OS installer file. Help?

zmcfate commented 8 months ago

Okay, I'll try that, then.

zmcfate commented 8 months ago

Okay, the Mooltipass BLE is upgraded to bundle 13, and Moolticute is upgraded to v1.02.0.

But I forgot the secret key combo to bring up the tab to recondition the battery....

zmcfate commented 8 months ago

NVM, found it. Reconditioning now. Also, v1.02.0 has the "Keep reconditioning..." checkbox, so I've checked that. I'll report back in "about five hours", thanks for the help so far.

zmcfate commented 8 months ago

Okay, apparently good news: the reconditioning completed, displaying a figure of "0.817 seconds" (?), but it seems to be holding a charge now.

limpkin commented 8 months ago

you should let it run until you get 2500+ seconds (in theory it's what the keep reconditioning tick box should do)

zmcfate commented 8 months ago

It didn't provide the modal dialog with the checkbox checked. I could run an additional single reconditioning pass now to see what I get, if you think that makes sense.

zmcfate commented 8 months ago

Battery had gone down to 10% overnight without having done much with the unit that would drain it, so I'm doing a single reconditioning cycle now to see what it reports. If it's under 2500 seconds, I'll rerun it.

zmcfate commented 8 months ago

Okay, I've run three reconditioning cycles.

Run 1: 438.33 seconds Run 2: 584.945 seconds Run 3: 3378.51 seconds

Hopefully it'll hold a charge for longer now.

limpkin commented 8 months ago

oh that's actually perfect!
