Midi port isn't detected by the system. #3

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Download MidiTest.exe from:
http://earthvegaconnection.com/evc/products/miditest/index.html#download
2. Test the MIDI input

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The MIDI port is not detected by the system

What version of the driver are you using? On what operating system?
1.8. XP

Please provide any additional information below.

The MIDI/UART subdevice has been disabled because it caused system crashes on 
computers with ULi chipsets.
