SPDIF out is not controlled by windows volume level #36

What soundcard to you have (make, model, chip)?

What version of the driver are you using? On what operating system? What
version of the operationg system are you using (32 or 64 bit)?
v 1.2.1 (latest build) on Vista x64

What ports of the soundcard are affected by the bug (e.g. SPDIF, Mic-In)?

Maybe this is normal, however when I was using c-media drivers in vista 32 the
windows volume would change the spdif out volume.

The hardware doesn't have a master volume control, and the official driver 
"emulates" it by processing the audio data. I deliberately chose to avoid 
signal 
processing, but some legacy software requires the presence of such a control, 
hence 
I've implemented a placebo.

This bug is easy to fix with a workaround; download VolumeTracker 
(http://chrisnet.net/apps/VolumeTracker.zip) You'll get an .exe file which 
gives you the option to link the Master Volume to the Wave slider. So if you 
change the master volume, the wave button will change accordingly.
