Won't uninstall #37

What soundcard to you have (make, model, chip)?
Mad Dog MM prowler 4.1

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. can't uninstall Control panel via Add/Remove programs 

What is the expected output? What happens instead?
I get the attached dialog. No uninstall

What version of the driver are you using? On what operating system? What 
version of the operationg system are you using (32 or 64 bit)?
CMIDriver-1.2.1-bin-x86    XP home SP3 32bit

What ports of the soundcard are affected by the bug (e.g. SPDIF, Mic-In)?
NA

Please provide any additional information below.

Resolved -  I had installed the official drivers over this driver. I 
reinstalled and 
then uninstalled and rebooted. all is well

thanks for the report.

the bug is valid - the control panel applet should uninstall itself even if the 
driver hasn't been installed. this will be fixed in the next release.

I cannot uninstall this driver. My device died and I removed it from computer, 
now when I start control panel, it shows this window and another one (Title: 
openDevice(), Text: Class already exists) and then control panel window 
dissapears. I even tried to run cmicontrol.exe /uninstall, it said it was 
uninstalled, but after reboot, it was still in the system. How can I 
permanently remove driver from the system? Version is 1.2.6.

manually delete cmicpl.cpl and cmicontrol.exe from your system32 directory
