no digital signal when i enable s/pdif out

i connected amplifier and pc with optical cable.
when s/pdif out is disabled my amplifier displys that it has digital
connection with some device.
when s/pdif is enabled my amplifier looses digital and switches to prologic.

when i start aplication(dvd 5.1,game that supports 5.1 or anything)i cant
get 5.1 separate signals(surround speakers arent responding).when i force
amplifier to simulate 5.1 all speakers work but it isnt true 5.1 signal.

i hope i explained my problem so u can understand it,please help...tnx
