What soundcard to you have (make, model, chip)?
CMI 8738/C3Dx PCI Audio

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. No sound period except when I open VLC and manually set audio to A/52 over
S/PDIF

What is the expected output? What happens instead?
Expect sound, no Sound

What version of the driver are you using? On what operating system? What
version of the operationg system are you using (32 or 64 bit)?
Driver version 1.2.6
Hardware Revision 68
Windows XP 32bit SP3

What ports of the soundcard are affected by the bug (e.g. SPDIF, Mic-In)?
S/PDIF dont use my sound card for recording

Please provide any additional information below.

Ive used your drivers in the past, up until i had a hard drive fail and the CMI
drivers i reinstalled wouldnt allow me to use 5.1 even while listening to a 5.1
specific file. So before the crash everything was working perfectly, granted i
installed them atleast 8months ago so i maybe using a different version of the
driver now.
My set up is i run S/PDIF out from my computer to a mixer.

If you have more questions about the problem im having i can be reached at

Aidian, the most probable cause is that you have set the speaker configuration
to something other than stereo - this effectively disables the SPDIF for audio
other than AC3/dts (check the FAQ).
