Invalid phone number or country code #20

I'm trying to register a domain. But no matter what I do I get an invalid phone 
number or phone country code.

Can you please clarify which format it has to be in?

Normal international format is;

+[country-code upto three character][area-code][subscriber number]

I've tried it (which is just plain irritating) with a . after the country code 
but that doesn't work either...
