- memo 2, 3 out 6 resubmitted
- feedback from memo 1 came back in time for memo 2 but they still had trouble on both 1 and 2, wasn't till 3 that it was improved
- we should give them two pages for memos (but it should have only 1 page of text, rest figures) could also allow an appendix to memo too
- we should send a memo to the students to prompt the memo back (like mike's)
- i should check on whether a memo is actually used in industry (vs emails)
- could it be "how to write a professional email" instead of memo
- learning objective: students will be able to communicate short technical notes/ideas in a professional way
I think allowing the first 2 memos to be resubmitted really helped with the overall quality of the last 2.
