When you say form editor you mean the form view, right?
If so, the form view is not opened when features are created. You remember, we
talked about it. The user has to first open the view, which then listens to
changes.
It is not the view that is supposed to listen and check if there is a form
available for every layer. This would need udig core modifications, which we
decided to avoid.

Yea, I remember this, but when I create a new feature the form view is
eventually auto-opened, so I think that you added this very useful feature !
The only problem is that the form is blank, so I've to click the selection tool
and select the new feature, that is more uncomfortable.

What do you mean: "when I create a new feature the form view is eventually
auto-opened". This should not happen. Not that I didn't want to, but you know,
we discussed it.
Can you provide a workflow in which the view is opened by a feature creation?

I know but it happened, and is a good thing !
And now i have reloaded the shapefile, I've modified with a text editor the xml
to solve some problem and now it work properly !!!!
When I create a new feature the form view is auto-opened and I can edit the
feature properties.
Can you try it ?
