license clarification #96

Hi,

I see that GPL license boilerplates were removed in d0bc902555fff5abef85012af3cbc323b915843b. What license is the code under now?

It would be critical to clarify the license of the software to ship it in distributions like Debian and so on.

i see now that the license field in the setup.py file is MIT. Is this the Expat license or the MIT/X license?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MIT_License#Variants

Having the boilerplate on top of the files would clarify this issue.
