No Install apparently #258

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. You install it, it doesn´t give out any errors, so apparently it´s all
peachy
2. You try to install NTFS-3G and it shows that Fuse has NOT been installed,
not even after a restart
3. You pull your hair out as you try it over, and over and over with three
different machines.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
It comes out that it has been installed and I close the window.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
OSX 10.4.10, Intel Duo core 1.8 MacBook

Please provide any additional information below.
Average system, no debuggers installed

Frustrating as it might be for you, this is not a MacFUSE Core issue but
something related to the specific ntfs-3g
package that you're trying to install. I have no knowledge of what might be
going on (most likely, the ntfs-3g
package is too old to recognize a recent MacFUSE), but others on the
macfuse-devel forum might, so try
reposting your problem there.

The same for me:
MacFuse core 0.4.0 installed (ok apparently).
Then NTFS-3G package installed (ok apparently).
Even after rebooting, it seems that nothing has changed: NTFS volume still
read-only.
hw: iBook G4
os ver: 10.4.10
NTFS volume: external Maxtor OneTouchIII (USB2.0, 120Gb)
