FYI, command line crashes with "Abort Trap", and none of the 1.4x versions work
(all do the same thing). I have the latest 8.4.3 ExifTool.

Sorry to hear that. I switched to a more recent version of Python for the 1.4
release, and that seems to have introduced this problem. I'll have to look into
that. Use the 1.3.6 release for now - it just doesn't have the name template
feature.

Thank you. FWIW I've got the standard Apple-issued 2.5.1 Python.
Actually the name template is going to be quite important for my use. AFAIK
Windows Media Center sorts its Folder view only alphabetically - so I was
hoping to prefix each iPhoto event with {yyyy}-{mmmm} so that they're
chronologically sorted.
I can't help too much more without 1.4.2 being in SVN, and build instructions
which I can't see. Also I haven't used XCode before.

This issue is also affecting me. I'm on latest build of OSX and PhoShare 1.4.2
crashes immediately on startup. 1.3.6 runs fine.
If it would be helpful for me to send the crash report please let me know.

By the way (should have mentioned this before) - your work is awesome! iPhoto
11 performance issues have made my photo library almost unusable, and phoshare
has given me a way to move to picasa (including faces, which I'd almost
resigned myself to losing) which is sooooooo much better. Version 1.3.6 is
working a treat for me, but I have over 400 events spanning 20+ years, so I
really need the name template feature to make the resulting export usable.
Thanks so much for this software - hope this bug fix isn't too tricky!

Thanks. Unfortunately, I don't have a plan yet for how to fix this problem.
There's some complex interaction between the Python version, 32-bit vs. 64-bit,
and availability of the tabbed panel widget that limits my choices of which
Python version to use. I'm looking into it.

fine.

1.4.2

Could you please try Phoshare 1.4.3 and let me know if that works for you?

Yes that works! THANK YOU!
Just a little niggle - the default template for the File names field is
{caption} - this doesn't seem to work and I think the default is probably
{title}?
Thank you again!

Just to confirm 1.4.3 works PERFECTLY for me too. As with comment #10 I had to
change the default file name template to get it to work.
