Could be any character, such as " ' " instead of a comma.

Indeed. My idea would be simply to allow you to provide your own seperating character.

Additional issue (merging here) to use a period instead of a comma in #2

For example 262.486,33 HUF instead of 262,486.33 HUF

No plans yet, but this one is a priority - it's the next thing I'll get implemented.
