would be great if this worked as a livecoding interface to add in fractal depth to existing music to do this, it has to let a human kind of start playing stuff, then figure out how to use that as a pattern in order to make it more fractal

I guess if you tell it base pattern, different pattern, it can find the pattern between those and reapply it really music involves a great deal of pattern breaking. that's why it's fun. So, we can be pretty sure that a system involving purely pattern following without any variation will be a great bore that's hopefully the job of the human to introduce these variations somehow, while the computer takes care of the patterns
