I have to say that I have no experience building an arm image, though happy to give it a try. I will probably hold off until I release the latest version though, as the new version supports caddy 2.
No rush, I managed to do most of the things I wanted to do with Traefik. Still wanna test Caddy2.
If you plan to support ARM64, could you also add an ARM (32-bit) image for the standard Raspberri Pi? I had to chanage to an x86 VPS away from the Pi specifically to support Tyger2 - if we get ARM support I can move back to the pi... ARM64 is good too, but only the Pi 4 supports ARM64 and it is rarely used.
I have done some preliminary investigation and although ARM based images are not viable with Tyger2, it is possible with the lastest version of TygerCaddy.
It is unlikely to be available from release and testing is nearly impossible for me as I do not have any ARM based platforms to test with.
Hopefully this is good news for you both.
Update:
The ARM64 and ARMx86 images have been built for the new release. I have no way of testing these but I believe they will work as intended. They will be released alongside the regular images hopefully by mid december.
Hella neat. I'll throw it at my UDMPro when it lands!
Hi @cybik and @Strider3000
I am in need of someone to test the ARMx86 and ARM64 images for the new version of TygerCaddy. Fancy helping out? I do not have any ARM equipment to test this on, and although in theory I am using a build method that should just work, you can not beat someone actually testing. You would not need to run it in production, I think that as long as the image boots and you can view the logs, login to the frontend, and add an address and app that we can call it a pass.
I would need you to sign-up and in to my private gitlab instance in order to access the image and it will only be available for a limited time if you were up for helping out.
Sure!
@cybik Thats great, can you please drop me an email at morph1904
@Strider3000, We have built an ARM64 image of the new version of TygerCaddy which has been tested and is working thanks to @cybik. We have built a x86 version too though we have not yet tested it.
It would be extremely interesting to see aarch64 (ARM64) images of Tyger2 made available on hub.docker.com, as these would be usable near as-is on ARM64-based network appliances running docker/podman/buildah.
