Function "mark as read" doesn't work #144

Sony Neo V. 2.3.4 Android.
Although I chose SMS function "mark as read" when I press "CLOSE" button it 
doesn't work. Still I have on screen saver information about unread message. 
Why ?

Thanks for response.
Could you propose the best 3rd party to refresh the undread SMS counter to
help Droid Notify updates the SMS data ?
