Anything for the MT7927? or would the drivers for another chip work for that.

Nothing yet. I will post when I see the driver and firmware posted for the mt7927. It is not clear why this driver is late but Mediatek has been kicking out a lot of wifi products over the last year so the devs are likely worn out. You may not see all of the products as many of their products go into things like TV's, Smartphones, routers. Many of their products are only supported for Linux so Linux is a top priority for Mediatek.
