8 months ago I've got it.
- AVR deep sleep after 5 min inactivity
- Wake on interrupt (the tare button)
- Physically cut of the power leds underneath the display modules
- Set the HX711 to power down before entering sleep mode
This gives 150 uA draw in sleep, which I'm sure can be improved, but gives around 1 year of sleep on a full 1200 mAh LiPo battery.
