Just like many apps, when requiring the password to be entered, there is by default a faillock of 3 attempts.
After 3 failed password (or how many attempts is defined in /etc/security/faillock.conf), it would be nice for swaylock-effects to show that the account has been locked, and how much time remains before it can be unlocked again.
It becomes clear if you do the following:
Launch swaylock
Type wrong password at least 3 times in a row
Go to another tty (ctrl-alt-f3)
Try to log in with the same user
There it displays the message:
The account is locked due to 3 failed logins.
(10 minutes left to unlock)
It would be nice to see this message directly on swaylock, instead of having to remember to check in another tty.
