Event will provide MOSA with the name/address/phone of anyone that needs a debit card
MOSA will open a checking account for the event, linked to MOSA's Chase business account
MOSA will provide routing and account numbers to the primary event representative
Each signer will then have 30 days to obtain a debit card (using the account number and a valid ID) at any Chase branch
Accounts with a balance of under $2000 will be charged a Chase fee of $15/month. (We've tried to get around this but have so far not been able to.)
Notes
Debit cards are Visa business debit cards with the individual's name and Midwest Open Source Alliance on them
If a signer fails to visit a Chase branch within 30 days of account creation, they will not be able to obtain a debit card without a MOSA board member present, which could be geographically limiting
If a new signer needs to be added at a later date, MOSA will need to supply meeting minutes to Chase showing the request of the new signer to add them to the account. Afterwards, the new signer will need to visit a Chase branch with an existing signer (primarily to prove account ownership via their MOSA debit card)
All signers will gain access to online banking via Chase's website
