The frequency hopping (and two "slots") used by FLARM & OGNTP require UTC time to be known to within 100 ms or better. Especially in the USA/Canada region with 65 channels in the 915 MHz band - random reception will lose 99% of the packets. For that reason restored use of GPS time - requires hardware with GPS ("T-Beam"). To allow base station without GPS, added sending of GPS time from remote relay station to base station.
