Problem with changing APN type #69

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Disable APN internet connection
2.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

APN name and APN type are both changed. After that sending and receiving MMS do 
no longer work although the MMS APN was not changed.

I have investigated the reason and found out that the "APN type" for internet 
APN is also changed and this is the reason why MMSs are not working. If I 
manually set the APN type back to "internet" I can again receive and send MMS 
and internet connection is still blocked.

This is happing on Samsung i5700 with Android 2.1. I have also see a few 
reports around the internet about this issue.

The way I see it there should be option for changing just APN name and leave 
the APN type as "internet". This way the internet is still blocked and MMS are 
working, at least in my case and most probably also on some other phones.

Same problem with X10 mini (1.6) iin order to make MMS send/receive ok, I sould 
remove apndroid suffix from APN type(default). 
Could you make a version of APNDROID for us? THANKS

Same problem here with i5700 spica android 2.1 and APNdroid 2.5beta.

We did not implement changing only apn name. May be in next dev build.
BTW i advice you to try switching with internal API but not APN.

If I am not mistaken if I use internal API then this will also block MMS APN 
and I will not be able to send and receive MMS.
