There is a well known bug in Android which randomly prevents phone from
reconnecting. Turning phone off and on always helps in this case (if APNdroid
has internet enabled, of course). To check whether APNdroid has enabled or
disabled the connection, go to your phone settings and make sure that your APN
name and type is not modified by 'apndroid' suffix. If it's not, you can
uninstall the app safely.

I have the same issue. Apndroid permanently disabled my 3G (tmobile) internet
connection. Not sure what to do now. It used to say
epic.tmobile.com(disabled)apndroid and i uninstalled and not shows
epic.tmobile.com(disabled)

You apparently used also some other app to disable internet, that added
(disabled) suffix. Remove that manually and everything should work just fine.

fwiw, i'm having a similar problem on my nexus s (stock gingerbread). apndroid
can toggle data off, but after that, there's no way turning it back on. the
apndroid widget signals green (on), the green light in the apndroid app itself
is on too - yet, no application is able to access the internet.
the only way to re-enable it is either rebooting the phone, or fiddling with
the Settings > Wireless > Mobile networks options. It seemed to me that best
way was to enable 2G and toggle "Data enabled" off and on (with apndroid set to
enable).
After uninstalling apndroid I have no such issue, though it means i now have to
toggle data deep in the mentioned settings menu, bohuzel ;).
(now that i think of it, maybe i'm getting it all wrong, but why doesn't
apndroid simply work as a shortcut for the "Data enabled" setting? excuse my
ignorance)

In APNdroid 3 we are using also this built-in switch, but there are 2 problems:
- it is private API and so we can't modify settings itself, meaning that
APNdroid shows diofferent status than Settings
- since Android version 2.3.3 access to this API is restricted and not
available at all

Hello Martin (I think you may be able to help me!!) I have a HTC Desire..had
some problems with my mobile provider, so I disabled the internet for 2/3
weeks..this has now been sorted out. The problem is that I have no internet
access now, I downloaded an APN on/off widget via Elixir before I disabled the
internet. I have lost the on/off widget and I have checked my access networks
and the end in "apndroid-elixir". I need some sort of APN on/off widget to
control my billing account..which one do you recommend? Elixir seemed to be
working fine..is there any way of getting the widget back and restoring my
internet access safely? Mark Bonnett
