No netcat "-C" option under standard Linux distros and GNU netcat #185

the nc_cmd uses the "-C" option for memcache info, but I do not see the option 
under Redhat, Debian nor the source code build of "GNU netcat"

Seems very peculiar, particular.

Hi,

The nc_cmd uses the "-C" option, but dont use the "-q1" option at CentOs 
Server. I modified ss_get_by_ssh.php

I have found on Ubuntu 11.04 that running "update-alternatives --config nc" as 
per instructions, but choosing /bin/nc.openbsd instead of /bin/nc.traditional 
gives me the nc -C option and the memcached graphs work fine.

I have attached the output of both commands for reference

  apt-get install netcat-openbsd

This can be fixed by modifying the nc_cmd configuration option.

I CANNOT get this template to work on RHEL 6.x. My odyssey is documented here:

Please do not add comments to this closed issue. This project is now part of 
Percona Monitoring Plugins and will not be maintained further on Google Code. 
You have reminded me that I need to configure its bug tracker to stop sending 
email. After I do this, I will not notice any further activity on this bug 
report.
